Re-Arranging Learning Modules
After re-arranging the order of a set of Learning Modules, the order resets to automatic sorting after logging out. This is an issue tied to Learning Modules created under the Vista 3 system. The only current solution is to copy the content from the modules, and recreate them in the current system (Vista 4).

"My Computer" Icon Replaced By Red X
When trying to upload files, if the My Computer icon is instead a blank box with a red X, the first thing to do is log out of Vista, and restart your webbrowser. Typically it's just a glitch, and by the time you log in again, the icon will have been restored.
If that fails, head to our Java help site, and download an updated copy of Java to resolve the problem.

"Unread" Icon Won't Go Away
The green asterisk icon which indicates that there is unread content, specific in the Discussions section, will occasionally remain even after all posts have been marked as Read. Blackboard support is aware of the problem, but as of yet there is no fix or workaround.

Exporting Assessments
When Exporting a quiz from Vista, the exported file has no filename until one is provided. Blackboard support has no solution to the problem yet other than to say it will be "fixed in a future release," beyond Vista 8.0.

Copy Content Errors
When copying content from a previous semester or year, the operation fails. Typically, the problem occurs when the previous course was created while we were still using the Vista 3 system, and the current Vista 4 system is having trouble with the translation.
Blackboard Support has pinpointed one common reason for the trouble: if there are any Group Sign-up Sheets in the course being copied, they should be removed. After that, trying to copy the content again should succeed. If it does not, contact LearnTech, we can attempt to copy the content from a backup file to get around the conversion issue.

Status: Fixed in Vista 8.0 (Upgrade: TBD)
Moving Files Causes Filenames to Revert
There is currently an issue where moving a file within a Vista course after its name has been changed can cause the file name to revert to what it was previously. Currently there's no permanent fix until we upgrade to Vista 8.0, after which time the problem will no longer occur.

Students Unable to View Grading Forms
This is a known bug within Vista currently. There is a fix in Vista 8.0. Unfortunately, there is no immediate solution. We recommend against using the Grading Forms in the meantime to avoid confusion.

Status: Fixed in Vista 8.0 (Upgrade: TBD)
